The Qaitbay Citadel, located in Alexandria Egypt and considered one of the city's most iconic monumental structures, was part of a master plan development for the surrounding area to transform it into an integrated urban space with an added sense of historical value. The master plan is characterized by a central pedestrian spine, starting at the main entrance and ending with the local mosque, integrated with soft land scape and lush vegetation.-
